What i am feeling right now.. April 27, 2011

My self esteem has been very low these past few days... that's why i sulk myself onto work most of the time.

I'd rather not talk to anyone about how i'm feeling...

i was a stranger in my own turf...

i was in an unknown dimension...

But one wednesday morning, while i was changing into my uniform, from my morning walk to the office, i find myself crying...

I finally found a shoulder to cry on, it was with my friend Janice.

It begun with just a simple sharing of work, duties in the office, that's how we do it everytime we bump into each other.

But because i was at my lowest point, i was not able to control it. I cried while i told her how i feel. i know she wouldn't understand completely, but having to let it out is good enough for me.

I don't want even the very people i work with everyday to see me breaking down, i dont feel like letting them know that i'm tired.
I don't really think what i feel matter to them.

These past few days, i felt like nothing.

So this is how i am going to be from now on.

I'm not sure if i can do it, but i'll try.

I was always exerting effort to these people to accept me, to belong in this group. But i still feel alone. Even with the very people that i felt i am close.

If this is my reality for now.. so be it...

I'm going back to my own dimension now....

Day 71 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 25, 2011 is the 71st day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Monday.
"Last 7 days"

Back to work week, but i have to take a half day leave at work because my youngest son was sick. Maybe from the 12-hour travel and heat of the summer sun.

When i got to the office, it was time for the 2nd to the last official weigh-in. And as expected, i was not able to lose much weight. But better losing a little than gaining big...

For the next 7 days, i will be strict with my diet. I'm planning to have pure vegetable and fruits diet until the end of the week. But i need to still eat breakfast to sustain me through my work day.

Here's my health regimen for this week:
 - 33 minute walk to the office in the morning
 - pack lite breakfast before 9am
 - lunch and dinner will be 1 pineapple
 - lots of water

If i have a jogging buddy during after office jog, maybe i will. But i'm not counting on it. These past few days, my team mates have been laying low on workout, however, i'm not sure if they are working out on their own.

I'm also looking forward to more OT this week onwards, so less workout for me. So i need to control my diet and see to it that i have healthy supply of food while at work, so as not to easily tempted to buy food anywhere that would ruin my diet.

Good luck on the last few days of the challenge!

Day 67-70 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 21-24, 2011 is the 67th to 70th day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Thursday - Sunday.

It was just a simple summer. But it was special.

My 2 boys were already staying with their grandparents for 3 weeks, and when i saw them this thursday morning, their sun burned skin was evidence that they are having fun with Lolo and Lola.

For the last 3 days, my diet includes pakbet, tinapa, itlog na pula with kamatis, paksiw na sili, inihaw na tilapia, paksiw na tilapia, pritong tilapia, sinabawang suso(snail).
I forgot when i last ate authentic ilocano delicacies, so when my mom cooked everything that i missed, i dived in. Forgetting that i was on a diet. Haha!
My kids enjoyed harvesting tilapia from their Lolo's fish pond. I can see the spark in their eyes whenever their fishing net was so heavy with their "huli". Kent would jump with enjoyment whenever we transfer the harvest to the collecting basket.

Hubby would volunteer to grill the fishes straight from the fish pond. and we would snack on the fish with bagoong dip while we wait for the rest of lunch to arrive, while under the sun.

Hubby also brought his fishing gadgets and taught the boys how to setup bait and fish. My boys didn't mind the heat of the sun, while eagerly waiting for their catch.

On our last day, my boys dived into the mud-like waters of the fish pond to get snails, shells and shrimps for our baon to Manila. It was hard to get them out of the water.

Saturday night came and we had to go back to Manila.
I felt the sadness in my Karl's eyes that he have to leave lolo behind. It touched my heart that in 3 weeks, lolo has been his very special companion and lolo has taught him well about feeding the chicken in the morning, feeding the dogs every after meal, harvesting tilapia whenever their is a buyer.  Kuya Karl has been lolo's constant companion everytime. And while our bus was leaving the station, Karl's eyes were flowing with tears, never wanting to leave.

I was touched that he even told me to say a short prayer for lolo and lola and all his cousins that he left in Isabela... And so i did.

karl with covsins
While our bus left Isabela, karl and I talked about his 3-week stay in the province. I can see in his eyes that he really enjoyed his stay.

Even it was only a 3-day vacation for me, it was worth it. Any little time away from work was worth it.

With all the holidays gone, its back to work week again. I just hope, reality would be nicer to me this time around...

"Last 2 weeks"

Monday, April 18.
Today, I am marking the last two weeks of my challenge, Unfortunately, with a .3 kgs weight gain. Geez!

I'm beginning to get tired of my diet. I was starting to crave for chichirya, ice cream, cheeseburger...and many many more..hayys I am also afraid that i might be pregnant...oh-oh..
Monday Breakfast : Adobong Kangkong with Baked Cream Dory fish.
Lunch: 1 pack of Crunchos (Junkfood)  After getting my 45 minute sleep during my lunch break, i suddenly craved for chichirya, so i opened one and dive! Not myself today...
Since we have only 2.5 working days ahead, i worked, talked to no-one in the office (for non-work related topics only), went home late.
No work-out.

No morning walk.

Oh-no! I'm feeling a little out of it. Out of the diet, out of workout. My body feels heavy and tired. I slept during lunch breaks and eat dinner.

This is not the way to end my diet.. I'm afraid i might have gained weight already...

Wait! There's more! When i got home monday night, hubby requested me to cook Pad thai, so i cooked one serving and we shared. hayyss..

Day 63 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 17, 2011 is the 63rd day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Sunday.
"Iskolar ng Rebisco"

Part of my ongoing project in the office (the project i was wining about from my previous week's posts) was a technical training for Linux. Since my team will be in-charge of the development and administration, we need to be familiarized with Linux. So we have no choice but to submit ourselves to this training.

So with overtime work during weekdays, a possible work on saturdays, and now, a sunday training. hayysss..

However, i just looked at it as an opportunity to be better at my craft. I just have again to sacrifice my sunday bonding time with the family... So much for living my life in balance....

So by 6:30am, i ready myself for school. Hubby was so supportive of me that he volunteered to cook breakfast. I was so in a hurry i forgot to take pictures.

Breakfast: 1 small tilapia (fried), 1 1/2 cup of togue (ginisa)

I was at UPITTC by 9am. I was late, but the instructor was super late. I think he arrived around 10am. Introduction to the course and methodologies lasted till lunch.

By 11:30, lunch was served. Part of the training fee was overflowing coffee, lunch and pm snack. More reason not to go on a diet.  Good thing that the caterer let us choose between meat or fish viands, so i choose the latter and took home the rice they provided.
Lunch: 1 medium daing na bangus (fried) with 1/2 cup ginisang beans as side dish. 1 small glass of iced tea.

During the training, i think i drank 2 cups of coffee.. i had to fight the sleeplessness that was engulfing me through the day, and after my last cup, i felt a migraine kicking in, so i limit it to just 2 cups.
PM Snack: 1 egg-wheat sandwich, 1 coffee

Snack served was iced tea and choice of ensaymada or mamon. I got my mamon, put it in my bag for hubby's pasalubong, and ate the egg sandwich that i packed instead.

By 5:15pm i was heading home, i decided to rode a jeep from Pilcoa to fairview and that i later on regret.  The migraine went full blast because of the stressful commute along Commonwealth ave. The jeepney driver stops at all possible stops and the jeep was so open to pollution ( i think i topped my carbon intake for the rest of my life with this 30-minute ride alone).

Even with a migraine, i still decided to go to church. It was Palm sunday so i was obliged to attend mass...Unfortunately, the palaspas vendor run out of palaspas so i was not able to buy one for the house.

The Mass homily was good. As a start of the Holy week the priest preeched about how we should love... The priest played the Nestle 100 years commercial (yes! our church has a projector..hehehe). The commercial was about a love that lasted 100 years, just like nestle. According to the priest, this is how we should love... with loyalty to your partner, developmental and with salvific sacrifice ( or giving of oneself).

Nice way to start the holy week.
When i got home, hubby cooked fried chicken. I could never remember when was the last time i ate one, so digged in. Along with it, i ate the left over sinigang vegetables while watching Talentadong pinoy.
Dinner: 1 bowl of sinigang vegetables, 1 pc of fried chicken

Day 62 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 16, 2011 is the 62nd day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Saturday.
"Laba Dami Day!"

Since our supposed to be super-awesome weekend in Benguet was canceled, hubby and I decided to stay home and do household chores instead. With the allocated budget for the Pulag trip, We plan to use it instead to do house repairs and paint the roof in preparation for rainy months...
We started our day with a morning walk to the park, then jogged there for 30 minutes. It was around 8am, so the sun was so hot. I was planning for another round but i was easily exhausted from the heat. So after an hour at the park, we walk back home.

I was craving for TapSiLog so i suggested we had breakfast at Janet's Pares House.

Breakfast: 1 order of Tapsilog. I exchange the fried rice to 1/2 steamed rice. Plus coffee.

After the scrumptious breakfast, we bought our repair and painting supplies and headed home...

Then off to our chores...

Hubby painted and repaired the roof, with 1 of our family friend that we hired to help him, while i was the labandera, cook and everything else in the house.

I cooked pork sinigang with lots of vegetables for lunch and prepared egg-wheat sandwich for snack. Shared with hubby and Sam (helper) with 2 boys (karl's playmates) who helped with the roof-painting.

Lunch: 1 cup sinigang soup, 1 bowl sinigang vegetables.

By dinner, hubby and I went to SM Novaliches to buy groceries for the house then ate at Mcdo. Hubby and i tried and shared the Mcdo Fish Fillet burger, a little bit sour because of the empowering flavor of the Mustard but good coz you know even if its fast food, it's a little less calories... Plus, we shared, so calorie intake is distributed into 2..hahahah (justifications! justifications!)

Dinner: 1/2 Mcdo Fish fillet burger

When we got home, i felt really tired. It was the first time after many years that i washed clothes, cleaned the kitchen & bathroom all by myself. I just hope, i burned the same calories of a 30 minute workout. However, i could have burn more calories if my Pulag climb was never canceled.

I bought popcorn for our movie night, but was never cooked because hubby and I decided to sleep instead. We were both tired and I have a training tomorrow at UP, so i need to rest so i could recharge for tomorrow's activities...

Day 60-61 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 14-15, 2011 is the 60th & 61st day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Wednesday.
"Lowest Days"

This week has been a great test for me.. A test for my loyalty, my patience, my passion and my purpose...

In my career, i have never been in my lowest point until now. Or at least that's how i feel... There were times that i feel threatened that i might lose my job, thinking that my company does not value my importance to the organization anymore.

In the beginning i was willing to sacrifice more time for my project, but when so many things has been said and heard, it has taken toll in my mind, and i began to think of my value...

I began to feel self pity and was in the verge of breaking down...

I was planning to unwind and get a change in my environment during my Pulag trip, but it did not happen, so with nothing to look forward to, i sulk myself into this negative feeling i have inside until the end of the working week...

One Thursday morning, during my morning walk to the office, while listening to RX TMR, they played the song "The Climb"... And when i get to ponder on the lyrics, i realized that the song tells about what i'm feeling right now...

I can almost see it  That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying

"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking ,

Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction,

My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying,

Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain,

I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle,

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there,

Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb..

The struggles I'm facing,

The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down,

But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it,

But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah,

Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong, Just keep pushing on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain,

I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there,

Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

There's always gonna be another mountain,

I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle,

Somebody's gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there,

Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing,

Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb,

Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa

... Like every mountain that i climbed in the past, it challenges my physical capacity and my patience through the long walks (sometimes a day walk) just to reach the summit. And even with great exhaustion that i felt, i envision myself reaching the top and that made me keep going, one "baby step" at a time...
..then i realized that this is just another mountain that i have submitted myself to conquer, and this will again test my capacity... and like any mountain i climbed, i will eventually reach the top if i'm just patient and take it one step at a time...
So i decided to get hold of myself. Instead of feeling depressed and weak, i began to assert myself and face it...

I realized, that what i am experiencing right now, are results of my previous wrong decisions, and since this problem is facing me right now, i have to be humble and admit my mistakes, and do something to correct it... It has became a big problem now, because, i continue to refuse to handle it earlier...

I should never blame no-one, for these are all my actions. I tend to blame my current status to the wrong people, while all the while, it was all on me...

So, i started talking to my hubby, and make him feel how miserable i felt at work, and how i need to sacrifice a little more time, just to make up to my mistakes... And he understands... It seems that i just needed someone to share my feelings to. I may not heard the right words of advise from him, but his listening is just enough...

In my mind, i know what to do.. I'm just not accepting it.  Plus, i need assurance and support from someone, who i know understands. I just hope, my hubby doesn't lose patience and gets tired of my wining.

As the song says, there will always be mountains and i will always want to move it.. there will also be time that i will lose my sanity... and might break me down...but i got to be strong for the people who rely on me, for my family most of all, and to my team mates... I got to get myself together again and learn from my mistakes... I just got to have faith to my Creator, that i can overcome these challenges with His guidance and my family's support and inspiration...

So now, i'm as dedicated to my work. I hope to be strong when unfortunate things happen, and be open-minded when dealing with people. And be excited for more opportunities to come...

As i'm ending my work week, i plan to rest and clear my mind. I'm planning to exhaust myself with many chores to do this weekend, that would clear my mind from work. Looking forward to the next days ahead of my ever challenging career....

Breakfast: 1/2 cup rice. Chicken Oyakudon
Lunch: 1/2 pineapple
Dinner: 1/2 pineapple, 1 cup

Day 59 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 13, 2011 is the 59th day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Wednesday.

"More Bad News"

My day started ok. I ate breakfast early at the office and i was determined to reach my deliverables for today.

By lunch, i went to the market to buy my ingredients for my long-time plan to cook pad thai and for our food supplies for our Pulag climb for the weekend. And also for the grocery supplies for the house. I have no other time to do my groceries due to work load.

And then by around 2pm, one of the organizers of our climb called and delivered the bad news... We can't climb Pulag on saturday.

Apparently, there are 250 people already registered to climb it and the registration officials of the Pulag National Park wont allow 25 more people.

I know that their reason was for the benefit of the mountain, but i still got frustrated when i heard this news.

working lunch
My mind was set to conquer Pulag this weekend as i blogged on my previous post (http://momyjorayma.blogspot.com/2011/04/my-mt-pulag-chronicles-part-1.html). All was already set, aside from my clothes and food supply, we were already packed and ready to go. I even got my hiking shoes tested and ready (http://momyjorayma.blogspot.com/2011/04/day-52-of-biggest-loser-challenge-2.html).

Urgghh!!! It's so frustrating when you want something so badly, but you can't do something to get it done...

Also, i was expecting for this climb before the Final weigh in, coz this activity would definitely make me put off weight. Hayyy.. Plan aborted.

Because of my work schedule, i may not be able to set another climb for the next 3 months. And by the time those 3 months are over, the weather would not be suitable. Hays!

I was planning to jog by myself, but because of the bad news, i stayed on my table and concentrated on my work. I still cannot believe my Pulag climb is cancelled.

By 9pm i was heading home. I logged on to my FB account to monitor the updates of the climb. While i prepared my ingredients for my Pad Thai.

One good thing about this day, was my Pad Thai. On my first try, and without the authentic pad thai sauce, i pulled it through.

Hubby enjoyed it. Even if its a little spicy, I did too. I endulged myself even at 11pm in the evening. I ate my frustrations out. I know i will hate myself for it later, but, what the heck! i'm frustrated, and i want to eat! Period.

Day 3
Breakfast: 1/2 cup rice with sauted amplaya with egg

Lunch: 1 big pack tortillos
I was not able to resist the pack of tortillos on my grocery bag. It was supposed to be our baon for our Pulag socials but i couldn't resist.

Dinner: 1/2 pineapple, 1 cup of Nestle Fitness and Fruit

Midnight Snack: 1 plate of Pad Thai.

My very first Pad Thai
I also want to share my Pad Thai recipe.

2 cups of chicken strips marinated in soy sauce and cornstarch
2 cups of togue
3 tbsp onion leeks
2 tbsp parsely
4 cloves garlic
3 cups of pad thai noodles soaked in warm water for 20 minutes
2 eggs
4 sili labuyo
1 tsp chili powder
3/4 cup pad thai sauce (combi of 3tbsp sinigang powder, 2tbsp patis, 3tbsp sugar, 1tsp chili powder)

I heated 3 tbsp of cooking oil then sauted the garlic. Add in the chicken without the marinate and a little water and let the chicken to cook. I added the noodles and the pad thai sauce. Then added the togue, 1 tbsp patis and pepper. Mix it all up.

I set the noodles on the side of the pan, then put the egg on the pan, letting it cook and untouched for a few seconds then mix with the noodles altogether. By this time, its a little messy, but i read that this is really how to cook pad thai. When its already ready i topped it with the chopped onion leeks and parsely and peanuts...

Served it hot with lemon or calamansi.. Make it a special pad thai when shared with your love one....

Day 58 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 12, 2011 is the 58th day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Tuesday.
"More Frustrations Ahead"

Yesterday, i was feeling down. Yet today, still not feeling good.

I'd writing my blog during my lunch break, because i need to write something or my mind will blow up...

A lot of negative vibes has been happening around me today...

First, when i arrived in the office, ready to change after my morning walk, i realized i forgot my uniform, so i have to wear tshirt at the office, i just hid my shirt under my office jacket. Hayyyss... my memory is not 100% working anymore..ayayayay!

2nd.. most of my friends online have negative shout-outs. I maybe a little paranoid but i hope it was not about me...

3rd... i did some mistakes at work, that will definitely affect my evaluation. Damn! I cant elaborate more, coz i don't want to add up to my mistakes anymore.

By lunch today, i'm feeling down. My lowest in my career ever. And worst, i have no choice but to stay for 5 years more. Hayyysss...
Breakfast : 1 cup of spaghetti.
Lunch : 1/2 pineapple

PM Snack: 2 wheat bread with raisin

Dinner: 1/2 pineapple.

Just like yesterday, i stayed at the office until 10:30pm. The only highlights of my day today was that i was able to jog for 33 minutes. I plan to do it again tomorrow, even if i have no jogging buddy...

Day 57 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 11, 2011 is the 57th day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Monday.
"Frustration is eating me today"

Monday  again. Back to work.
It's the 5th Official Weigh-In for our challenge. So before we start work, my team went to the warehouse to get our weight checked. Because of my recorded weight from Ace's weighing scale yesterday, I was expecting huge lost from my weight. But unfortunately, i was disappointed. My recorded weight today is 60.2kgs. A only lost .2kgs from our friday weight.

Then, i got more disappointed... I was expecting the official representative to arrive after lunch. But he arrived at around 9:30 am. Just right after i finished my breakfast... Hayysss.. breakfast pa naman is the heaviest meal i have for the day, so this will add up surely to my weight...

True to my theory, it did. I had not lost significant weight. I felt really frustrated coz i can't reach my desired weight at this rate that i am at.

For the last two weeks my only workout was my morning walk to the city. And i know that this wont suffice because my body has slow metabolic rate, which i have proven through the years. So i really need to get going and start exercising again...

But current circumstances wont let me... and it's really frustrating...

I want to jog, but i cant jog alone due to safety reasons... I can't do hiphop abs at home because i'm too tired to do it at 11pm, After working more than 10 hours at the office.
Hayysss... How can i reach my desired weight if circumstances wont let me.... So..so.. so frustrated...
Breakfast: 2 wheat bread, 1 egg (sunny side up), 1 cup of coffee

Lunch: 1 cup Nestle Fitness & Fruit

PM Snack: 1/2 pineapple

Dinner: 1/2 pineapple

Day 56 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 10, 2011 is the 56th day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Sunday.
"Spa Day"

At 6:30 am, hubby and i headed to Quezon ave to meet my MIL for a half day spa treatment at ACE Water Spa in DelMonte QC. Had breakfast at 7-11 then commute to Ace water spa..
Breakfast: 2 wheat raisin bread and cappuccino latte from 7-11

By the time we arrived, it was 8:30...

Ace Reception Area
2 months ago, i was able to get a promo for Ace Waterspa adult pass for only 299. Regular pass is 550, so it was a very good deal. It was from cashcashpinoy.com. It's easy. I just ordered for the deal, then paid it thru bank(BDO), then i got a confirmation that my voucher is ready to print, and this is what i presented to Ace.

And so i did. It was easy. Upon entering the main door, the receptionist were already there to accomodate us. I presented the voucher, filled up some names and then we're set...
clean locker rooms
My MIL changed into our swimsuits and headed to the spa.
First activity that i did was to do a 30 minute lap. Together with my hubby, we stayed on the lap pool for 45 minutes. Swimming was one activity hubby and I enjoyed very much. We were once members of the 505th Search and Rescue team and we were able to learn some water safety and rescue techniques. But that was 6 years ago.. and we tried to refresh our strokes everytime we get an opportunity...
The lap pool was not yet crowded at this time, so we had each lane to ourselves... I did a combination of freestyle and breast stroke and scissors.  After 30 minutes of continuious lapping, i thought it was time for a massage...
So hubby and i headed to where MIL was and started trying each massage area..
As per Ace, there are 25 massage systems around the area, for the whole body. Since it was early, and the pool are was not that crowded, we tried the massages one at a time. The system on the massage areas were well thought of. You can never stay too much on an erea coz it will strain your muscle. With the automatic timer of the facility, the massage will stop and you'll know that times up. and you move on to the next..
Most of my fave massages was the rain accupuncture. You lay down on your chest and a even rain fails onto your head, back and legs. You could feel the pressure of the water on your muscles and you just lay there and relax...
2nd favorite was their herbal pool. AFter trying out all the massages, MIL and i headed to the hermal pool area. There are 3 kinds, Mint, Jasmin and Lavander. All with special benefits as you soak your whole body.
What's exciting about going to the herbal pool was that you have to soak your whole body for 5 seconds into the cold pool before you soak your self slowly into one of the pools. And as you dip down your body slowly into the herbal pool, you would feel a tiny-needle like pressure onto your skin, because the herbal pools have temperature ranges of 38C-40C. But as a precaution, so as not to increase your blood pressure, because of the high temp, their is a cold steel rod, that you have to rest your nape on, to regulate body temperature...
We tried the 3 herbal pools, one after another. And after the 3 hot soak, we took a quick cold shower, then tried the sauna for 5 minutes..

We did this cycle twice, but on the 2nd time, instead of sauna, we tried the steam. And i think, we stayed there longer than the sauna.

It was already 11:30 then, since we still have 30 minutes more, MIL and me soaked our legs on the Lavander herbal pool, and talked some more about life...

By 12pm, we headed to the shower room and ready ourselves for checkout. Before we headed out, MIL noticed a weigh scale by the door, so we tried it out. They say hydrotherapy massage have slimming benefits, so i tried it out... My weight registered at 58.06kgs. I can't believe it! i lost almost 2kgs after hydrotherapy massage! But i still have to check if i really lost weight tomorrow on our official weigh in... If i really did, i will definitely come back...

our complimentary soup
They gave us complimentary soup tickets before we left. And since, were already there, we tried dining on their Ace Cafe Lounge.
I ordered a Baked Fish Fillet with mixed vegetables and rice. I was planning to eat the fish and vegetable alone, but the dish was delish. I ate it all up. The whole order! It was too pricey for 180 rice topping meal for one, but when i tasted it, its definitely worth it. I just have to skip dinner again for the extra calories from the rice and the white sauce.

Baked Fish Fillet
All in all, it was a good experience. Good facility, good massage, good company and good food.I'm giving Ace Water Spa a 5 star rating for that... The experience was worth your money.. I can't wait to come back with my kids for them to try the amenities for kids...

We headed home clean and refreshed....

Dinner was 1 bowl of Nestle Fitness Cereal with Nuts. Day 2 of my 14-day program.

Day 55 of Biggest Loser Challenge 2

April 9, 2011 is the 55th day of Biggest Loser Challenge 2, Saturday.
"A different Kind of workout"

breakfast for two
I woke up at 10 minutes before 6am. Hubby and I are planning to jog, since it is a saturday morning. But... the weather did not permit us to do so...

It was raining... So, we have no choice but to stay in the house...

So instead, we did a different workout.... Clean the House, Do the laundry and Paint one room... Many slimming tips say that if you have no time for exercise or to go to the gym, clean the house.. Move your *ss from the couch and get going...

So that's what we did...

Before we started our chores for today, i prepared a heavy breakfast...

egg omelet and dilis
Breakfast: 1/2 cup rice, 10 pcs dilis, 1/2 vegetable and egg omelet..

Since we are all alone in the house, it became a "Breakfast Date for 2"... It was one of the rare moments that we get to enjoy our food without the Kid's that's magugulo, who were currently feeding the chickens in the province (as texted by their lola while we're eating ).

my breakfast
Then after breakfast, i washed the dishes while hubby washed the clothes, with the help of our labandera (G.E.), of course. I help with the hanging of the clothes...

Then by 10am, we walked to SM to decide and buy on what color we'll paint the boy's room ( this was my room when i was single). We decided, it would be a lighter shade of green. since the cabinets are already painted with Green and Yellow combination...
So we choose a light green color.... then after sharing lunch with hubby and glen...
Lunch: 10 pcs Chx feet (adobo), 3 tbsp tuna sisig
..rested a while wathcing The Taking of Pelham 123,
...we began with the painting...

I opened the radio for some music. And i decided that this is a good bonding moment with hubby.

So i started on asking "slumbook" questions to my hubby...
Q1 : What is your favorite color?
Hubby: Dati black. Pero nung nakilala kita, Red Na!  (Cheesssy!)

Q2 : What's your favorite food?
Hubby: Fried Chicken and Hotdog

Earlier, We got a bad news, that a relative of a family friend died from a car accident.. so we talked about topics about death...

Q3 : Pag namatay ka, ano gusto mo, cremate o libing?
Hubby : Cremate. Mura kasi. (Hmmm...hubby is practical...) Tsaka pwede nyo naman ilagay sa cinematorium (Ano daw!!!)
Me: Crematorium!!
Hubby : Yun nga! (hehehe.. pa genius effect!)
I enjoyed our painting activity, even after i had a stiff neck, but i enjoyed our bonding more...

And by 8:30, the room was semi-finish. But the paint job was 90% complete. We needed darker shade of green for the bottom border line style...

Dinner: 2 cheese and egg wheat pandesal
Bought my Nestle Fitness Cereal, and posted my Day 1 pic on facebook. Grand price is trip for 2 to boracay.. i hope i win...
